At Chiselwood, we pride ourselves that our furniture is designed for longevity. We get asked to return to projects many years later to refresh, remodel or update appliances. https://chiselwood.co.uk/projects/
It is not often that we are asked to completely redesign a new kitchen for the same client, however this is what happened last year.
New 2025 design
Many of you may remember the iconic kitchen we designed over fifteen years ago. There was a mix of timbers, curves and lots of colour.
Fashions of course have changed over that time and the clients decided they wanted a softer more peaceful space now the family had grown up and moved away.
Original design 2009
The old kitchen was still looking great, so a company called Re-home advertised and were able to find another house for it to go to. Like we say, longevity is key for Chiselwood. Rehousing the kitchen means it will be loved by someone else. https://www.rehome.co.uk/
In the design meeting, it was confirmed the client loved the layout of the original design, so little needed to change structurally. Our designers were given a new brief of peaceful and calm was key. A pallet of soft blue, white lacquered Oak and bronze detailing was put forward. Collaborating with Sophie Peckett for the soft furnishings, we are proud to have created a beautiful, calm and peaceful place for the client to enjoy for many years to come. http://sophiepeckettdesign.com/
